'Pigs might fly' by Vanessa Gillett

Textile work created for the exposition 'Les Gens Bons du Monastier' 6 December 2014.

'Pigs might fly' an English expression meaning that something is impossible or there is no chance of something happening.  The French equivalent is 'Quand les poules auront des dents'.

These little piggies were a prelude of the texile ones, a project I ran with a children's class.
They are made from blown eggs and paper, match sticks for legs and buttons for noses.  The ooglie eyes bring the whole thing together as well as the pig paint and pink feather tail.
